How Does the Leadership Skill Center Work With You?

The Leadership Skill Center Approach

Our approach is based on sound adult learning principles and our proven four step process for quickly and effectively building practical leadership skills.

Adult Learning
We know adults learn best when:

  • You are actively involved in your own learning
  • You are challenged as well as guided
  • Programs are ‘just-in-time’ and relate directly to your current needs
  • Ample opportunity is provided for discussion and reflection
  • Learning occurs in an informal, supportive atmosphere of mutual trust and respect.

Our Four Step Process
We know the most effective way to make
the transition to effortless and effective leadership involves a four-step process:

  1. Assess and understand your own style, strengths and weaknesses
  2. Acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors which have consistently been proven effective
  3. Work with an experienced mentor to challenge, guide and support you personally while you apply your new learning and ideas to your own real-life situations
  4. Consolidate your new skills and experiences by sharing your insight with other managers facing similar situations in a different context.

Since KMG Consulting was established in 1993 we have used these principles to develop highly effective leadership and management programs that we have delivered to clients across Australia, New Zealand, England, Canada, the United States and in Japan.

Why It Works

Our programs are based on more than 30 years experience, research and study in how adults learn and what leaders want and need to learn most.

In late 2005 our success was recognized by the Telematics Foundation of the Victorian Government which awarded us a prestigious grant to realize our novel and unique approach to online leadership development in our Leadership Coaching Club using our FeLAN™ model and we are pleased to acknowledge their support for our programs.
